What is “Classmethod ID”?

Classmethod ID is the common ID service, which makes the client using various kinds of services such as “Classmethod Members” or “opswitch” provided by Classmethod, Inc. enable to log in those services with one account.

Our client can not only create their account easily just with an email address and password but also add MFA setting.

FAQ

Is it possible for one person to have multiple Classmethod ID?
As a general rule, we are asking our clients to have one Classmethod ID for one person.
What type of MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) can I use?
You can use One-Time Password autehntication based on Time-based One-Time Password (RFC 6238).

In order to use MFA function, you have to prepare virtual MFA application that can be used for scanning and registering of QR code as well as virtual MFA device.

Furthermore, you can use virtual MFA application below which has been completed operation check as of July, 2024.
・Google Authenticator (Android/iOS)
・Authy (Android/iOS)
・IIJ SmartKey (Android/iOS)
I cannot use MFA after I changed my smartphone.
You can choose either a. or b., depending on history of recovery code issuance.

a. If you have already issued recovery code
→ Please verify(log on) with the recovery code.

b. If you have not issued recovery code yet
→ Please ask our support counter for lifting MFA registration by email (support@classmethod.jp).

In addition, please note that request after our office hours (9:00~18:00, on weekday) takes longer time perhaps to be handled by our best effort basis.

I want to change the email address used for Classmethod ID.
We apologize for the inconvenience, but please register new Classmethod ID with your new email address.

If you want to hand over usage information under your previous email address, you have to migrate your data regarding every single service linked after log-on.

Besides, your (previous) Classmethod ID as origin of migration is not deleted automatically. If you need to delete it, please proceed with the proper procedure.
I want to delete Classmethod ID.
Please log on your Clssmethod ID you want to delete and submit “request for deletion”. Result of deletion will be sent by automatic reply.
In addition, your request of deletion could be failed depending on the usage situation of the service you use. In this case, please submit “request for deletion” again after conducting the method in the email.

※Notes
・Your previous information cannot be restored if the process of deletion is completed, even if you register with the same email address you have used.
・If you cannot log on your Classmethod ID you want to delete or conduct deletion process on behalf of someone, please submit “request of deletion” via Contact Form on Personal Information, specifying the email address you are not able to delete because of log-on failure.
With regard to dealing with your request through the form above, please note that it takes about 5 business days to complete the procedure as our member in charge need to check about your request and works related.
