Classmethod Launches “Classmethod AI Experience Center” with 3 Billion Yen Investment to Accelerate Enterprise AI Adoption in Japan

Classmethod, Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Satoshi Yokota) announces the launch of the Classmethod AI Experience Center, a dedicated unit to help Japanese enterprises adopt and scale artificial intelligence (AI). Over the next five years, the company will invest 3 billion yen (approx. USD 20 million)  to advance enterprise AI implementation, leveraging its technical expertise as an AWS Premier Tier Services Partner and proven experience from more than 100 enterprise AI cases.

Classmethod aims to support 1,000 new enterprise AI deployments through the center, using knowledge gained from client projects and in‑house experience. The company has also organized insights from its own AI adoption, where 90% of employees actively use AI, turning both successes and failures into practical knowledge to address challenges unique to Japanese enterprises.

With AI adoption advancing rapidly across enterprises, there is growing demand for end‑to‑end support covering technology selection, implementation, governance frameworks, and workforce development. Building on more than 100 client projects and practical experience from widespread in-house AI usage, Classmethod established the AI Experience Center to help Japanese enterprises turn AI’s potential into real-world business outcomes and address challenges unique to the domestic market.

Classmethod has advanced enterprise AI adoption by combining partnerships with major technology providers and proprietary initiatives. Key milestones include:

  • Achieving AWS Generative AI Competency (June 2025)
  • Forming a strategic alliance with Anthropic (July 2025)
  • Open-sourcing the AI Test-Driven Development (TDD) framework “Tsumiki” (July 2025)
  • Launching the AIDD Boost AI-driven development team (October 2025)
  • Co-founding the AI-Driven Development Consortium (October 2025)

Internally, 90% of Classmethod employees already integrate AI into their daily work in areas such as engineering, operations, security, governance, and adoption enablement. The AI Experience Center drives enterprise AI adoption through four strategic pillars of support. These provide structured programs tailored to each organization’s maturity stage:

  1. Problem-Solving Programs: Industry-specific demonstrations, customized workshops, hands-on sessions, executive briefings, and expert insights.
  2. Research and Technology Validation: Joint experiments, proofs of concept, rapid prototyping, industry-focused R&D, and public sharing of results.
  3. Talent Development and Community Building: Comprehensive training programs, role-specific curricula, hands-on projects, knowledge sharing via DevelopersIO, and community engagement.
  4. Enterprise Deployment Support: Strategy design, roadmap development, governance frameworks, deployment from pilot to production, and operational integration.

■Partner Ecosystem

The AI Experience Center collaborates with partners such as AWS, Anthropic, AI model providers, cloud platforms, and ISVs. Together these partners conduct experiments, validate technologies, and co-develop solutions. Findings are made publicly available through seminars, workshops, and publications.

■Future Outlook

Over the next five years, Classmethod will drive the following initiatives through a total investment of 3 billion yen (approx. USD 20 million). Of this amount, 2 billion yen (approx. USD 13 million) will be allocated to recruiting and developing AI talent, while 1 billion yen (approx. USD 7 million) will be dedicated to research, development, and infrastructure.

Key priorities include:

  • Expansion of industry-specific AI solution programs
  • Collaborative R&D with universities, government, and industry
  • Development of AI-ready talent and practitioner communities
  • Creation of new solutions through open innovation
  • Strengthening of alliances with global partners

Through these initiatives, Classmethod plans to support 1,000 enterprise AI implementations, enhance competitiveness, and contribute to solving societal challenges in Japan.
